In a significant event titled “Koluvula Panduga” (Festival of Jobs) held at Shilpakala Vedika, Chief Minister Shri Revanth Anumula handed over appointment letters to 783 candidates selected for Group-2 services. The CM emphasized the critical responsibility of these recruits in transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economic powerhouse by the centenary of India’s independence in 2047, urging them to work tirelessly toward this goal.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Bhatti Mallu, Minister Shri Ponnam Prabhakar, advisors, public representatives, and the Chief Secretary of Telangana. On the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, the CM congratulated the candidates and their parents, highlighting the importance of their role in Telangana’s reconstruction and the state’s ambitious Telangana Rising – 2047 vision.
“Receiving an appointment letter is as significant as one’s birthday. It marks an emotional milestone, as you step into the role of responsible officers. From today, you must act with diligence, safeguarding the future of Telangana’s 4 crore people,” the CM said. He urged the recruits to never forget the sacrifices of their parents, who toiled to support their journey, and to contribute to the development of their hometowns.
The CM advised the new officers to treat every citizen, especially the underprivileged, with empathy, viewing them as their own parents and serving with dedication. He also announced plans for a law to deduct 10% of salaries from officers who neglect their parents, with the amount transferred directly to their parents’ accounts.
Addressing the recruitment process, the CM explained that Group-1 results were prioritized to ensure fairness, as some candidates selected for Group-2 might also qualify for Group-1. This approach prevents others from losing opportunities. Group-3 and Group-4 results will follow in due course.
The CM highlighted the government’s achievements, including filling 60,000 jobs in its first year and resolving long-pending issues like SC classification. Telangana also became the first state in India to complete a caste census. He called on the new officers to work efficiently for the state’s progress, aligning with the Telangana Rising 2047 vision.
