Nara Lokesh Reviews IT, Electronics & Communications Sector, Directs Swift Action on Incentives and Startup Growth

Amaravati, October 10, 2025, 1:45 AM IST – Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics, and Education, Nara Lokesh, conducted a comprehensive review meeting of the IT, Electronics, and Communications Department at his Undavalli residence today. In a post on X, Lokesh detailed key directives aimed at bolstering the state’s position as a leader in technology and innovation. He instructed officials to expedite the clearance of pending incentives for the IT and electronics industries, ensuring prompt support to drive sectoral growth.

Emphasizing Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to lead the nation in startup development, Lokesh urged officials to implement strategic measures to position the state at the forefront of the startup ecosystem. He also directed the enhancement of WhatsApp-based governance, calling for a more efficient and responsive framework to address public and industry needs. The meeting included discussions on formulating a forward-looking quantum computing policy, signaling the state’s intent to embrace cutting-edge technologies.

To attract sustained investments, Lokesh mandated the Economic Development Board (EDB) to maintain regular consultations with industry stakeholders, fostering a proactive approach to create a business-friendly environment. These initiatives reflect Andhra Pradesh’s vision to become a global hub for IT and electronics, leveraging robust policies and dynamic governance to spur innovation and economic progress.
