New Delhi, September 26, 2025 – Coal Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the Ministry of Coal today revealed a Performance Linked Reward (PLR) of Rs 1,03,000 for non-executive staff, following the 6th standardization committee meeting of the Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry on September 25, 2025. This incentive will benefit approximately 2.1 lakh non-executive employees across Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries, along with around 38,000 non-executive workers at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). The reward will be disbursed proportionally based on attendance, with a total financial outlay of Rs. 2,153.82 crore for CIL and Rs. 380 crore for SCCL.

The PLR is designed to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of non-executive personnel at all CIL subsidiaries and SCCL, ensuring they receive just compensation for their hard work. Timed ahead of the festive season, this payment serves as a welcome financial uplift for the workers and their families.

This Performance Linked Reward reflects CIL and the Ministry of Coal’s dedication to enhancing employee well-being, boosting motivation, and valuing the contributions of contract workers. Through this initiative, CIL seeks to elevate productivity, morale, and job satisfaction among non-executive staff, who are essential to the company’s mining activities and play a key role in advancing the vision of a self-reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat).
