On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh addressed a high-profile press conference in Delhi, focusing on the upcoming CII Partnership Summit. The event, set to be a game-changer for the state, aims to draw trillion-dollar investments to propel Andhra Pradesh (AP) into a global economic powerhouse. Lokesh outlined the state’s remarkable progress, revealing that over the past 16 months, AP has successfully attracted $120 billion in investments, a testament to its growing appeal among global investors.
A key highlight of the conference was the government’s bold commitment to its youth. Lokesh assured the younger generation that the administration is dedicated to generating 2 million jobs within the next five years, positioning employment creation as the cornerstone of its agenda. He emphasized that this focus is driven by a strategic push to enhance livelihoods and foster economic inclusivity across the state.
To lure investors, Lokesh presented three compelling reasons to choose AP. First, he highlighted the state’s streamlined “speed of doing business” policies, which have significantly reduced bureaucratic hurdles and accelerated project timelines. Second, he pointed to the efficient leadership steering AP’s development, ensuring swift decision-making and effective governance. Third, he introduced the concept of the “double-engine bullet train government”—a dynamic partnership between state and central leadership—propelling AP toward unprecedented growth.
Aligning with the national vision of Viksit Bharat, Lokesh unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047. This transformative goal, he explained, hinges on sustained investment inflows, infrastructural advancements, and a skilled workforce. The CII Partnership Summit, he added, will serve as a critical platform to showcase AP’s potential, inviting global stakeholders to partner in this journey toward economic excellence.
